Zukko.AI vs Chatwoot
Chatwoot is an open-source unified inbox for agents. Zukko.AI does the work itself: replies, books, reminds and keeps the CRM; voice calls connect to the Pro plan and are billed separately.
Launch it yourself — from 2 hours. A demo on your own channels.

What Chatwoot is and how it is built
Chatwoot is an open-source conversation aggregator: Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, email and web chat land in one window where human agents work. The code is public, so you can either run it on your own server or take the vendor cloud subscription.
Billing is organised around seats: the more agents on the team, the more seats in the subscription. Self-hosting moves the cost into infrastructure and administration — the server, upgrades, backups and on-call time. We do not quote the figures here; check them on the vendor site.
What Chatwoot does not do: its Captain AI agent takes routine questions, but the system does not analyse Uzbek speech, does not call the customer in a voice of its own, does not fill the record and does not set reminders. It is a workplace, not the worker. Zukko.AI closes the cycle itself — replies in Instagram and Telegram in Uzbek and Russian, booking, reminders and a filled CRM; voice calls connect to the Pro plan and are billed separately.

What is Chatwoot
An open unified-inbox system for support and sales: channels come into one interface, dialogues are routed to agents, and there are teams, labels and a canned-response library. A human writes the reply.
Chatwoot self-hosted
The code is open, so Chatwoot can run on your own server and keep the data with you. In exchange you take on the work: deployment, upgrades, monitoring and backups stay with your team.
Chatwoot and the Uzbek language
The interface can be translated, but there is no Uzbek speech recognition and no Uzbek AI replies in the system: the agent writes them. A mix of Uzbek and Russian inside a dialogue is also a human job.
Chatwoot and CRM
Chatwoot is about conversations, not the pipeline: deals, tasks and reminders live in a separate CRM connected through an integration. The agent fills the record after the dialogue.
What decides the choice
Chatwoot gives your agents a tidy place to work; Zukko.AI does part of that work for them. The nine factors come from our research with businesses in Uzbekistan, most important first, and Chatwoot wins the final two.
| Buying factor | Importance | Zukko.AI | Chatwoot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phoning a customer who left a numberCritical | Critical | Voice AI on the Pro plan makes the call in Uzbek, in its own voice | Chatwoot is a text inbox; it does not phone customers |
| Instagram and Telegram covered at night and at weekendsCritical | Critical | Answers in Uzbek and Russian around the clock, voice notes included | Messages wait in the shared inbox for the next shift; Captain handles routine questions |
| Booking the slot and reminding the day beforeCritical | Critical | Takes the booking straight from the conversation and sends the reminder on its own | An agent books and reminds by hand |
| Running it without an ops engineerCritical | Critical | A managed service live from 2 hours; enterprise and on-prem projects up to 30 days | Self-hosting leaves the server, upgrades, monitoring and backups to your team |
| A conversation that turns into a dealHigh | High | The same thread fills the customer card and moves the deal through your stages | The conversation is stored; the pipeline lives in a separate CRM |
| What a month really costsHigh | High | From 699,000 UZS a month for the team, with the AI’s replies counted inside the plan | Seats grow with the team; self-hosting adds server and admin time |
| Hearing spoken Uzbek and reviewing callsMedium | Medium | Its own STT turns Uzbek voice notes into text; call analysis starts on Business | No Uzbek speech recognition; chat history is kept, calls are not analysed |
| Open code and a wide set of connectorsMedium | Medium | Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp and web chat built in, plus an open API and webhooks on Pro | Public source code, many channels and ready connectors — Chatwoot strengths |
| Track record and communityMedium | Medium | A newer kind of product, proven in live deployments across aviation, healthcare and sales | A mature open-source product with its own community |

When to choose Chatwoot, when to choose Zukko.AI
Chatwoot is a solid inbox with open code; Zukko.AI is a set of AI agents with a CRM behind them. The deciding questions are who writes the replies and who looks after the server.
- Choose Chatwoot: you have developers and want the source codeAn IT company or a product team in Tashkent that wants to read the code, change the interface and run the inbox on its own servers gets exactly that. The price is the upkeep: upgrades, monitoring and backups stay with your engineers.
- Choose Chatwoot: a team that answers every message itselfIf every shift is staffed and you want a clean shared inbox with teams, labels and canned replies, Chatwoot covers it. Its AI agent, Captain, can take routine questions from your help-centre articles and documents.
- Choose Zukko.AI: nobody is on shift at night or at weekendsA delivery service or an online store in Uzbekistan gets a large share of messages in the evening. Zukko.AI answers in Uzbek and Russian around the clock, voice notes included, and leaves the manager a filled record in the morning instead of a queue.
- Choose Zukko.AI: data in Uzbekistan without an ops teamSelf-hosting is one way to control data, and it needs an engineer on call. Zukko.AI stores the data of Uzbek customers in Uzbekistan as a service, and CIS banks can deploy on-prem or in a private cloud with RBAC and a full audit trail.
- Choose Zukko.AI: the conversation must become a dealIn Chatwoot the conversation is kept and the pipeline lives in another tool. In Zukko.AI the same thread fills the customer record, moves the deal through your stages and can end in a Payme or Click payment link.
Watch the inbox answer for itself
Leave your number. The AI employee calls back and shows a late-night Instagram message in Uzbek becoming a reply, a booking and a deal, with nobody on shift.
Chatwoot or Zukko.AI: what teams ask us
How is Zukko.AI different from Chatwoot
Chatwoot is an open-source workspace where agents answer conversations from several channels. Zukko.AI is a platform of AI agents for business: the AI answers in Instagram, Telegram and WhatsApp itself, the voice AI agent takes calls, calls are analysed and the CRM keeps itself, while people step in on the hard cases.
Moving from Chatwoot to Zukko.AI: the checklist
1) Gather your canned responses and help-centre articles — they become the knowledge base the AI answers from. 2) Map Chatwoot teams and labels to Zukko.AI roles and request tags so routing stays familiar. 3) Take out the contact list you want to keep. 4) Reconnect each channel — Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, web chat — and keep the old inbox read-only for history. 5) If you self-host, set a date to retire the server so you stop paying for its upkeep.
Chatwoot Captain or the Zukko.AI agent
Captain, the Chatwoot AI agent, learns from help-centre articles, PDFs and websites, answers routine questions and hands the rest to an agent. The Zukko.AI agent also answers from a knowledge base, and in addition understands Uzbek voice messages, books services, sends payment links and reminders, and writes every result into the CRM.
Is self-hosted Chatwoot cheaper than Zukko.AI
The licence may be, the total not necessarily: a self-hosted inbox still needs a server, upgrades, backups and someone on call, and the replies are still written by paid agents. Compare that total with a Zukko.AI plan — from 699,000 UZS a month on Start — where the AI takes the first line.
Does Chatwoot understand spoken Uzbek
The interface can be translated, but recognising Uzbek voice notes is not among the features Chatwoot describes: an agent listens and types. Zukko.AI runs its own STT/TTS with an Uzbek voice and replies in Uzbek, Russian or English.
Can we keep Chatwoot and add Zukko.AI
You can split by channel: Zukko.AI takes Instagram and Telegram, where most first contacts arrive, while a team that prefers Chatwoot keeps email. Two windows do mean two histories of the same customer, so treat it as a transition rather than a permanent setup.
Keep your inbox habits, hand the first line to AI
Connect Instagram and Telegram, load your canned responses as the knowledge base and let the AI take the first line. No server to look after; launch it yourself from 2 hours.
Uzbek, Russian and English. Local payments and channels out of the box.
