Over the past year “adopt AI” has become a mantra at every conference. But between a demo on stage and a working process inside a company there is a chasm. Let us look at it coldly: in Uzbekistan in 2026, what already delivers a measurable result, and what is still just a slide.

What works

What works is anything that closes repetitive chats and calls: replies to customers on Instagram and Telegram, handling routine enquiries, logging a lead into the CRM, call-quality control. Here the volume of same-type tasks is large and the cost of a mistake is low, so AI pays off quickly and on clear numbers.

What is still a mirage

“A fully autonomous AI that runs the business itself” is marketing, not a rollout plan. Complex decisions with legal and financial consequences stay with a human; the AI prepares the data and a draft, the employee decides. Whoever sells the opposite is selling a demo.

In emerging markets AI wins not by the scale of its promises but by a specific process that stopped eating the team’s time.

Where to start

Take one process with high volume and a clear metric — for example, DM replies or call-quality control. Launch AI on part of the flow, measure, expand. For an SMB the launch is from 2 hours, for an enterprise up to 30 days. That is the honest path, not a “transformation in one quarter”.
